14 weeks pregnant is considered the first week in your 2nd trimester. Many expectant mothers find this week comfortable and pleasant. Your exhaustion and nausea are likely to lift, or simply start. Of course, there are a few reasons why. First, you are probably at ease. Second, the morning sickness is strongly reducing while your breasts are not quite as tender at all.
Even better, 14 weeks pregnant development, you are able to start noticing cute baby bump. In addition, your uterus also rises out of the pelvic region and into your low abdomen. The truth is that your heart works hard to supply adequate oxygen to both of yours and your baby’s body. Moreover, your red blood cell count is also much higher than when you did not have baby. Therefore, ensure that you support this by eating a lot of iron rich foods, i.e. green leafy vegetables, red meat, and cereals.

At 14 weeks pregnant, you feel better than previous weeks. But, that does not mean that you don’t suffer from symptoms or changes of pregnancy. What are these? Pay attention to some information below now:

14 Weeks Pregnant – Your baby development
Amazingly, my baby at 14 weeks pregnant is now able to stand up straight. Plus, his/her neck becomes longer, which helps his/her head stand more erect. This week, your little one might grow some hair, though the color of his/her hair could not be fully determined until birth. His/her eyebrows are now filling in. Your baby’s body can have hair, called lanugo that functions to keep his/her warm. Don’t be nervous! This will surely disappear later in pregnancy, when he/she gets some more body fat.
It is interesting to know that your unborn kid has his/her first wee! Once he/she begins to swallow little bits of amniotic fluid, such will then pass into his/her stomach. While the kidneys start to work, the swallowed fluid passes back into the amniotic fluid just as urine. Your baby learns how to breathe at this week – a vital skill for when he/she is born!
What else? This week, you may also notice the development of the roof of his/her mouth. Moreover, his/her intestines begin to produce meconium – the important substance which makes these first nappy changes black and tar-like.
If you are now carrying twins or a multiple pregnancy, then your tummy can be much bigger than usual. So, what is the big sign of carrying more than one baby? That is excessive nausea. Don’t hesitate to have an ultrasound if there is more than one baby inside your body. As you are having your tummy palpated and having your ante-natal checks, the growing kid will move away from that gentle prodding and poking.

Because morning sickness slowly decreases at 14 weeks pregnant and you reach the second trimester, it’s a wonderful time to start an appropriate exercise routine for pregnant women only.
This week, don’t forget to take advantage of any extra energy that your body affords you. Wake up fresh faced and blissful? Don’t hesitate to fit in a 15-minute morning walk. In case you feel your energy is at the highest peak in the afternoon or evening, then checking out a local prenatal exercise class is a good idea. In that case, water aerobics, yoga and walking groups are perfect alternatives.
Another bonus of feeling comfortable without nausea is that you could be more inclined to have some fun in the bedroom. As your belly is not uncomfortably big yet, it is an ideal time to enjoy some extra bonding with your spouse. Some women can find themselves wanting sex more during this stage. This is because of the extra blood flowing below their waistline. But, there is no need to worry either. It’s another great way to stay active. Unless your doctor has advised you something different, it is totally safe.
Don’t forget to eat fiber! Both vegetables and fruits are really essential because they are bulk forming which help to push anything along in the bowel. Fiber and roughage will work best with water. As a result, remember to drink lots of fluids as well as keep yourself well hydrated. Water also helps with that brain fogginess.
